Anna Held Audette

After a career as a teacher, writer, and painter spanning over fifty years, Anna Held Audette now suffers from Alzheimer's Disease. She’s ambulatory but unable to address most aspects of daily living without guidance. For her, the art studio is the place where the embers still glow. Assisted by a former student, Audette is still an active artist. Despite the loss of executive function, at the easel she can make decisions about style, line, color, shape, and size. Audette’s catalogue raisonné has over 700 documented entries of drawings, prints, paintings, and books.
