William Alexander is a writer and storyteller who has led workshops at Union Theological Seminary, the Esalen Institute, and Hazelden Foundation, where he is on staff. His workshops are collaborative, playful, and simple, often leading participants to what T. S. Eliot called “the laughter at the heart of things.” Alexander was ordained in 1995 by the Vietnamese Buddhist monk Ven. Thich Nhat Hanh as a member of the core community of the Order of Interbeing. He has lived and traveled throughout the United States and Central America, the Bhutanese Himalaya, and parts of Southeast Asia. He lives in Minnesota.
