Kate Horsley

Kate Horsley lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and teaches creative writing at Central New Mexico Community College. A poet as well as a novelist, Horsley has a PhD in American Studies and has published five novels. Her book A Killing in a New Town was the winner of the 1996 Western States Book Award for Fiction.

About the Author

Kate Horsley is an award-winning novelist and poet who enjoys musing on the poignancy and significance of the untold lives of people who lived during times of dramatic historical upheaval. As Kate Parker, she teaches English at Central New Mexico Community College in Albuquerque.  Whenever she’s not writing or working, she can be found performing folk, retro-rock, and reggae music with a band of aging merrymakers.
