John Welwood, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist specializing in integrating Eastern spiritual wisdom and Western psychology. In the early 1980s he emerged as a major figure in the fields of transpersonal psychology and East/West psychology. His current teaching is focused on embodied psychospiritual work. He also trains health professionals in “psychotherapy in a spiritual framework.” He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and they have often taught together on psychospiritual work and conscious relationship.
