Tao Te Ching: An All-New Translation
by Lao Tzu; translated by William Scott Wilson
Bring things to life and nurture them,
But have no thoughts of possession.
Act without relying on anything;
Bring things along, but do not take charge.
This is the dark and mysterious virtue.

I have several different translations of the TTC, and I glean something different from each of them. I look forward to the opportunity to read Wilson's translation, as I am currently enjoying "Master of the Three Ways."
Thank you!

This is the dark and mysterious virtue. -- this just speaks to me! (It's a gentle whisper).

This great and powerful work can always use a new translation to help bring out all the nuances inherent in the original text. The Tao Te Ching is one of the classic texts that most benefit from -- like fine wine -- a "vertical tasting" of different flavors from the same spirit.
