THE THREE PRINCIPLE ASPECTS OF THE PATH

May 25, 1992

MANJUSHRI - EMPOWERMENT

The Lamrim teachings present a complete sequential order of the path to attain enlightment and the three main principals of this path are: the mind of renunciation, bodichitta and wisdom realizing emptiness.

The mind of renunciation enables one to detach from desires or attachment and realize the quality of peace. The path is to live daily life peacefully without being enslaved by wordly concerns so they can take a place of right proportion in one's life. Bodichitta is a genuine good heart that seeks and realizes goodness and extends to others motivated by compassion and goodwill for the happiness of others.

Wisdom realizing emptiness enables one to cut through misconceptions about the true nature of reality and liberate one to realize the path to liberation.
