Venerable Thubten Chodron is one of the first Americans to study the Dharma in Asia and be ordained as a Buddhist nun. With over 40 years of ordination, she speaks about the transmission of the bhikshuni lineage to Western nuns. As the founder of Sravasti Abbey, the first training monastery for Westerners in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition in the US, she offers first-hand experience and insights on the challenges and opportunities of establishing and developing a fully ordained sangha in the West.
