Join us at 8 Limbs Yoga Centers for a weekend with Baxter Bell, MD, coauthor of Yoga for Healthy Aging, and Melina Meza, director of 8 Limbs Teacher Trainings, to share with our community their insights on yoga and aging (we are all getting a bit older each day!)
Baxter Bell will be signing copies of Yoga for Healthy Aging Book on Friday, January 12th from 5:00–6:00 p.m. The signing is free to attend.
This workshop will provide instructions on maintaining your physical, mental, and emotional health as you age. The main focus of the course is on preventative strategies, covering:
- Stress Management
- Circulatory System/Heart Health (time permitting)
- Brain Health (time permitting)
NOTE: This workshop is designed for relatively healthy, relatively physically able participants. It will not include instructions for or information about yoga for seniors who cannot stand unaided and need to practice in chairs. It also will not include specific information about using yoga as therapy for medical conditions, although there will be a bit of general background on that subject.
