Sandy Blaine has been joyfully practicing yoga for 30 years and teaching since 1993. In addition to her books, her writing has appeared in Yoga Journal, Yoga International,and Ascent magazines, as well as on the Huffington Post website. In 2004 she wrote a series of home practice articles for Yoga International, and her essay, "Yoga For Sale," was included in the best of the magazine anthology Spirit on the Move in 2005. Her first book, Yoga For Healthy Knees, was an Amazon best-selling yoga title, and her second, Yoga for Computer Users, has been translated into Spanish, Dutch, and Italian.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sandy teaches weekly yoga classes at Leela Yoga in Alameda (www.leelayogaalameda.com). An expert in workplace wellness, Sandy has spoken at Kaiser and Google, and serves as the resident yoga instructor for Pixar Animation Studios. Sandy holds a master's degree in positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and is working on a new book on happiness and mind/body integration.
