He has spent over seven years living in Asia (including Tibet, India, Nepal, and China) and has studied with and translated for teachers from all the major Tibetan traditions: the Sakya, Kagyü, Jonang, Geluk, Nyingma, and Bön. He is conversant in Tibetan, Chinese, and Sanskrit.
