Paul G. Hackett

Paul G. Hackett is an NEH-funded research scholar and instructor of Tibetan at Columbia University, and also serves as an editor for the American Institute of Buddhist Studies. He earned a Ph.D. in Indo-Tibetan Buddhism from Columbia University, an M.L.S. from the University of Maryland at College Park, and has studied Tibetan language, religion, and culture in both traditional Tibetan and Western academic environments.

He is the author of Theos Bernard, the White Lama (NY: Columbia University Pr., 2012), A Tibetan Verb Lexicon (Ithaca: Snow Lion Publ., 2003), and numerous articles on Tibetan history, language, and Buddhist philosophy.
