Translating Shambhala Publications Books

We receive many requests from talented translators, often connected with our authors, who aspire to make a particular book from Shambhala Publications available in their local language. 

We applaud them on their enthusiasm.  However, for a book to be licensed and translated, a publisher must be involved, not just a translator, and the publisher will work through our network of agents that represent 32 language groups around the globe.   These agents work with hundreds of publishers around the world to bring these books into their local languages, professionally, and with excellent distribution.   

If you are a translator who wants to take on one of our books, you are welcome to reach out to publishers directly, and you can send a note to [email protected], letting us know so we can relate that to our agents. 

All translations need to be licensed by Shambhala Publications and/or our agents directly with an established publisher.
