The Third Jamgon Kongtrul
The third Jamgön Kongtrul (1954–1992), Buddhist monk and teacher, was one of the heads of the Kagyü order of Tibetan Buddhism. He traveled extensively in Asia, Europe, and North America, touching the hearts and minds of large numbers of students. He was the founder of the Paramita Charitable Trust in India and the Rigpe Dorje Foundation, an international network of organizations concerned with furthering educational, medical, and social development in India and Nepal.
