Oh, just open this marvelous book sometime-anywhere-and fall into it. It's an anthology of the work of 45 poets who (at least around 1990, when this was published) practiced some form of Buddhism and had some idea that the practice had an effect on their work. Each of them provides a little essay explaining him or herself, and then lets a few poems speak further. What fun. Among the contributors are Gary Snyder, Allen Ginsberg, Diane DiPrima, Jane Hirschfied, Jim Harrison, Anne Waldman, and on and on and on…
